I can see my hair lightening :)
So I quit my job last night after a huge argument with my manager which has basically screwed me over!
Long story, basically since day one of working there my manager has given me the attitude, crap hours and bollocks every shift! Although I haven’t done anything wrong, everyone else I work with on my shifts are lovely and have all said I work well and I’m always happy, so I didn’t understand her problem.
Last night was different, I was doing extra cleaning for Sunday as it’ll be busy with all the Jubilee celebrations, filling up the stock, serving customers, the usual… and after my break she decides to have a mood swing and bring out the attitude and awkwardness. (not cool), so she pretty much ignored me for about half an hour with the odd blunt answer, she then asks about my rota and of course giving me the crappy hours, I told her I had to let her know Saturday morning as I have a lot of college work to be done, she then has the cheek to accuse me of lying about my driving lesson!! Who has the right to accuse me of lying! Why would I lie about something like that, plus I had that monday booked off for 2 weeks!
So anyway„ I basically got so fed up and angry I told her to forget it and that I quit, she laughed in my face, so I told her about my John Lewis interview and she laughed at that and said ‘as if’ and told me to get out. Which I did.
I was livid.
However I have now emailed the director of the company, I hope that he see’s my side of the story and that I don’t lose a reference or have any bad comments back, I don’t feel like it was my fault.. I was working well. There is no need for someone at a professional level to speak to their staff rudely. They have no right. OH! but she is telling my colleagues that it was basically my fault and that I snapped out and left..
Let’s hope my job interview goes well on Thursday.
Anyway! Aside from the worst 24 hours, I’m trying to stay positive, Hey I’m even looking in to suing her for defamation. That’s for another day as it is a whole different ballgame and whole different story.
